Structured youth employment programmes for different workforce needs

EmploYES supports businesses through targeted youth employment programmes designed for different sectors, skills environments and workforce requirements. Whether the need is graduate readiness, technical trade exposure or healthcare support, our programmes are built to help businesses integrate youth talent in a more structured and manageable way.

EmploYES programmes help businesses integrate youth talent in a more structured way

At EmploYES, we design and manage structured youth employment programmes that align with business needs across different sectors. Our approach combines practical workplace exposure, participant support and programme oversight to help employers build initiatives that are more manageable and more effective.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we structure programme pathways around the realities of different working environments, from graduate and professional roles to technical trades and healthcare support settings.

Our programme pathways

Each programme pathway is designed to respond to a different employability gap while supporting businesses with structured delivery, participant oversight and sector-relevant support.

The EmploYES Catalyst

Breaking the Barrier, Building the Future

The Catalyst

The EmploYES Catalyst is more than a placement initiative; it is a definitive solution to the “Experience Trap” that keeps South Africa’s brightest young minds from entering the workforce.

In sectors like Finance, Technology, and Professional Services, the entry bar is often set at “three years’ experience”—a requirement that ignores the raw potential of new graduates.

The Difference

EmploYES Catalyst shatters this cycle by becoming the employer of record, providing graduates with the formal professional identity they need while giving your business a risk-mitigated pathway to high-end talent.

We don’t believe in “sink or swim.” The Catalyst programme is built on a foundation of intensive support designed to transform a degree-holder into a high-functioning professional.

The Experience Bridge: We bridge the gap between academic theory and corporate reality, giving graduates the immediate, hands-on roles they need to validate their skills in Finance and Tech environments.
Active Mentorship Initiatives: Every Catalyst participant is paired with industry-experienced mentors. This isn’t just “check-in” coaching; it is a structured, high-touch relationship focused on navigating office politics, professional etiquette, and technical growth.
Employability as the North Star: Our curriculum is obsessively focused on long-term employability. We move beyond the 12-month contract, equipping graduates with the “soft” leadership skills and “hard” technical competencies that make them indispensable to your permanent headcount or the broader South African economy.

The catalyst Advangage

By partnering with EmploYES Catalyst, your organization doesn’t just fulfill a B-BBEE or YES requirement; you gain access to a curated pipeline of “work-ready” graduates who have been coached, mentored, and polished to meet the exacting standards of professional services.

The EmploYES Forge

Hard Skills. Real Impact.

The Forge

South Africa has an infrastructure project pipeline worth over R1 trillion – but where will the talent come from to tackle this?

In the industrial and technical sectors, the true “Experience Trap” isn’t just about a CV – it’s about the gap between a classroom certificate and the precision required on a live site. EmploYES Forge is our specialised artisanal and trade skills initiative designed to bridge that divide.

The Difference

We take young South Africans with the aptitude for technical work and put them through a “heat and pressure” environment that turns raw potential into master craftsmanship. By employing these youth directly, we allow industrial partners to grow their technical capacity without the administrative friction of traditional trade placements.

EmploYES Forge is a high-impact, hands-on ecosystem focused on the grit and precision of trade work.

Breaking the “Qualified but Inexperienced” Cycle: A N6 or TVET certificate is just the beginning. We place our youth in active workshops and industrial sites, ensuring they get the “hours on the tool” required to become truly competent in trades ranging from welding and electrical to mechanical and civil works.
On-Site Master Mentorship: Trade skills are passed down, not just taught. Every Forge participant is mentored by “Sifu” figures—veteran artisans who provide high-touch, real-time guidance on safety, precision, and the nuances of the trade that can’t be found in a textbook.
Driven Toward Sustainable Employability: Our goal is to move youth from “helper” to “technician.” We focus on the holistic skills needed to survive in the industrial sector: workplace safety (SHEQ) compliance, project management basics, and the professional reliability that makes an artisan a preferred contractor.

The Forge Advantage

When you partner with EmploYES Forge, you are investing in the backbone of the South African economy. We handle the recruitment, the protective gear (PPE), the insurance, and the payroll, leaving you with a disciplined, mentored, and high-energy workforce ready to contribute to your production line or construction site.

The EmploYES Pulse

Vital Skills. Compassionate Care.

The Pulse

In the healthcare sector, the distance between a qualification and a bedside is measured in confidence and clinical exposure. EmploYES Pulse is our specialized healthcare youth placement programme, designed to inject new energy into South Africa’s medical and wellness infrastructure.

The Difference

We identify high-potential youth looking to enter the healthcare value chain, from pharmacy assistants and basic care workers to clinical administrators and wellness coordinators. By acting as the employer of record, EmploYES Pulse provides a safe, structured entry point for youth to gain the “white coat” experience required to become permanent assets in hospitals, clinics, and private practices.

Bridging the Clinical Gap: We help youth navigate the transition from theory to practice. By placing participants in active healthcare environments, we ensure they develop the “situational awareness” and technical proficiency that only comes from real-world patient and practitioner interaction.
High-Touch Mentorship & Supervision: Healthcare is a field of constant learning. Every Pulse participant is guided by seasoned healthcare professionals who provide mentorship on medical ethics, patient confidentiality (POPIA), and the meticulous standards of care required in a clinical setting.
A Roadmap to Permanent Employability: Our mission is to build a sustainable healthcare workforce. We don’t just focus on the 12-month placement; we drive participants toward full employability by emphasizing professional reliability, empathy, and a deep understanding of South Africa’s unique healthcare challenges.

The Pulse Advangage

Partnering with EmploYES Pulse allows healthcare providers to scale their impact while meeting B-BBEE and YES targets. We handle the complex compliance, vetting, and administrative oversight, providing you with a mentored, motivated, and compliant youth workforce ready to support your frontline staff.

How our programme model works

Our programmes are designed to support both employer needs and participant development. While each pathway is tailored to a different sector context, the underlying model remains consistent: structured entry, practical exposure, ongoing support and a focus on long-term employability.

Built for sustainability, not just placement

EmploYES combines programme structuring with practical delivery support. That includes participant sourcing, placement coordination, mentoring, coaching, administration and compliance oversight. The aim is to help clients move beyond a basic placement model toward a programme that is easier to manage and more useful to the business.
